The changes for the Dallas Cowboys have only just begun with the announcement of Jason Garrett as Head Coach. The interim defensive coordinator, Paul Pasoquolini has left Dallas and been hired for the same job at UConn and so the search began for a new DC.
It is not official yet, but all signs are pointing to Rob Ryan as the Cowboys new defensive coordinator. Yes, that Rob Ryan... son of Buddy, brother of Rex, and a much needed change of pace from the likes of easy-going Wade Phillips. The announcement is apparently imminent, as sources close to the matter have stated.
There are a few other positions that need to be filled and many players that will be cut and replaced, and I will do my best to update the blog as soon as I know any of these changes.
IN PLAYOFF NEWS
The playoffs are winding down, and with Divisional Weekend out of the way, the Super Bowl match-up will either be The New York Jets or the Pittsburgh Steelers representing the AFC against either The Green Bay Packers or The Chicago Bears repping the NFC.
Personally, I'm rooting for a Jets and Bears Super Bowl... I could live with a Jets and Packers Super Bowl I guess, but I certainly don't want Pittsburgh to get in... I would never hear the end of it.
