Football Season has officially started with Green Bay (mostly) dominating against the Saints and winning Thursday Night's kickoff game with a score of 42 to 34. It was a pretty exciting game to start things off, there was a little bit of everything, three TD throws from Rodgers in the first quarter, a kickoff return TD, sacks, fumbles, etc, etc... very exciting indeed.
But I don't care much for Green Bay or the Saints, so tomorrow is the day I'm really looking forward to. There's some pretty good games on in the afternoon and I'll get to see how the NFC East rivals play and then to cap off the night will be the very tough challenge of Dallas vs NY Jets. I have no clue how things are going to play out, Dallas has some major injuries already, including Terrence Newman, Martellus Bennett, possibly Tyron Smith and more. The secondary is what scares me the most, but who knows if the young guys will step up. We'll find out tomorrow night and it's sure to be intense.
It's also going to be an emotional game, in fact every game tomorrow will be special because it will be the 10th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks. Players across the league are planning to go against some of the NFL dress codes (they were given permission btw,) and will be wearing red, white and blue incorporated in their cleats and maybe elsewhere too, we'll see. Tomorrow night's Cowboys/Jets game will top it off because of it's proximity to Manhattan which was hardest hit during 9/11.
While I'm on the topic, I can't stress enough how grateful I am for all firefighters, police and emergency workers who lost their lives being heroes on that day. The average citizens who all came together during the tragedy and everybody who believes in freedom, I give my thanks to.
In other news...
Since my brother got the Sunday Ticket from DirecTv and since I have a Playstation 3 and since DirecTv is allowing (for a $50 addition) Sunday Ticket to be streamed to Playstation 3... well, I will technically have the ST for the season through my PS3. Woo Hoo... that's all. Go Cowboys!
